Job Description

A well-established, fast-paced plaintiff-side Personal Injury practice is seeking a Temp-To-Hire Litigation Support professional to assist attorneys with case preparation, document management, and client coordination. This full-time role may be filled by either a Litigation Secretary or Paralegal, as long as the candidate brings strong litigation experience. The position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is looking to grow within personal injury litigation.

Responsibilities

Attorney & Litigation Support

  • Provide day-to-day litigation support to personal injury attorneys throughout all phases of a case
  • Assist with motion preparation, discovery, and general litigation workflow in a high-volume practice
  • Support attorneys with trial preparation and deadline-driven tasks

Document Preparation & Filing

  • Draft, format, and proofread pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and correspondence
  • Prepare documents for filing and handle state court e-filings
  • Apply redlines, formatting, and revisions to legal documents as needed

Case & File Management

  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail; scan and upload documents to case management systems
  • Track and update case deadlines, statute dates, and key milestones

Records & Discovery Coordination

  • Coordinate collection of medical records, billing statements, police reports, and insurance documentation
  • Communicate with medical providers, insurance carriers, and record services to obtain files

Scheduling & Calendar Management

  • Schedule depositions, client meetings, and other litigation-related appointments
  • Maintain attorney calendars and track court deadlines and statutes of limitation

Client & External Communication

  • Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel
  • Provide clear, concise written and verbal communication across all parties involved in a case

Qualifications

  • Strong litigation experience required (candidate may be a secretary or paralegal)
  • 3+ years of personal injury litigation experience preferred
  • Experience with calendaring, motion preparation, and e-filing
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with litigation procedures, legal terminology, and document formatting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and case management software
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively with a legal team
